Associate Dean for Scholarship and Faculty Development and Professor of Social Work
I earned both my MSW and Ph.D. in social work from The Ohio State University. My current research interests are in the area of use of technology in social work education and practice. This has included use of virtual reality simulations in the classroom to improve students’ knowledge and skills related to social work practice. Historically, I have also explored the role of fathers in families, particularly following divorce. I am currently exploring programming for at- risk fathers to improve their parenting knowledge and skills. I teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs in the areas of program evaluation, statistics, and rural social work practice.
