Dr. Muliira’s overall research program aim to reduce health disparities by improving health promoting behaviors, and symptom and disease self-management in individuals and families at risk or affected by chronic health problems such as cancer, diabetes, and heart disease. Dr. Muliira is particularly interested in developing and testing interventions to improve symptom control, disease self-management, and quality of life for individuals and families affected by chronic disease.
