Sarah Adams is an academic advisor for the Miller College of Business at Ball State University. Adams became acquainted with Ball State during her time as an undergraduate student working as a resident assistant, majoring in organizational communication studies with a minor in telecommunications. After receiving her bachelor's degree from Ball State University in 2012, she studied for her master's of science in college student affairs at Eastern Illinois University while serving as an assistant hall director.
Following graduate school in 2014, Adams went on to work full-time as a coordinator for Housing and Residence Life at Western Kentucky University. During her employment, she took time to focus on an area of passion which is working with students with disabilities. Western Kentucky University offered her the opportunity to earn her certificate in American Sign Language. Wanting to move back to Indiana, Adams took a full-time position at Ivy Tech Community College as an assistant director for Disability Services and an academic advisor. In 2016, she returned to her Ball State roots as an academic advisor for the former Department of Family and Consumer Sciences. She is now happily with the Miller College of Business advising Upper Division students toward a path to graduation.
