Reuben Allen has been an instructor of geography since 2005. His most frequently taught classes are geography of the cultural environment, global geography, geography of U.S. and Canada, economic geographies of globalization, and population geography. He is also faculty advisor for the local chapter of Gamma Theta Upsilon, an international honor society in geography. 

Allen’s research interests concern the spatial dimensions of racial and socioeconomic stratification. Moreover, he is interested in how changes in racial classification may affect spatial indicators of segregation and environmental hazard exposure. His regional interests include Latin America and Southeast Asia. He earned his BS and MS from Ball State University, and his PhD from Indiana State University.
