Emilie Schiess is an award-winning instructor and accomplished academic as noted by the 2020 BSU Excellence in Teaching Master's Level award and 2021 BSU Outstanding Graduate Student Teaching award. Her current research interests include both linguistics and pedagogy, with recent projects in anti-racist assessment, gender and language in medical care, and teen language trends on social media.
