About Emily Brown Hoffman

Emily is a former early childhood teacher, holding a National Board for Professional Teaching Standards Certification in Literacy: Reading-Language Arts for Early and Middle Childhood. Her research spans and joins the areas of early childhood literacy teaching and learning and both online & face to face teacher education and professional development. She considers how traditional and alternative professional learning experiences can empower and improve the instructional capacity of early childhood teachers, exploring the collaborative potential that digital technologies bring to the learning contexts of both children and teachers. Interested in early childhood literacy leadership & policy, she is committed to investigating sustainable professional development ventures that address the need for high quality early childhood literacy teaching and learning.
