Patrick Collier is an Associate Dean in the College of Sciences and Humanities with responsibilities for:
- Student Affairs (grade changes, late withdrawal approvals; student complaints, grade appeals, ethics issues, FERPA)
- Graduate School Liaison (Graduate Faculty Policy Document review; Graduate Assistantships; Graduate Merit Fellowships)
- Admissions and Commencement Event organization
Patrick Collier is the author of Teaching Literature: A Practical Guide (Bloomsbury Academic, 2021), Modern Print Artefacts: Textual Materiality and Literary Value in British Print Culture, 1880-1930s (Edinburgh UP, 2016), Modernism on Fleet Street (Ashgate, 2006), and many articles about the relations among journalism, the book trade, and literature. He is co-editor of the Journal of Modern Periodical Studies and the collections Emerging Media, Emerging Modernisms (Palgrave, 2008) and Print Culture Histories Beyond the Metropolis (U of Toronto, 2016). He specializes in nineteenth- and twentieth century literature and film studies. He has also directed the Everyday Life in Middletown project, which is building an archive representing the lives of ordinary citizens of Muncie.
