Anita Gnezda
Teaching Professor of Chemistry
About Me
I have taught at Ball State since fall 2006 and this was my first teaching position since earning my doctorate in Pathology. I love engaging students in the wonders of the chemical world and how it relates to everything we know and learn in health science.
My College Experience
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry and master’s degrees in both Biochemistry (Bombay University) and in Chemistry (Cleveland State University) Before getting my doctorate, I worked in pathology labs at hospitals as a lab technician and enjoyed that experience and decided to transition to the study of Pathology
What I have Learned?
As an undergrad I loved learning chemistry; it made sense to me! Having earned my bachelor’s and master’s in India first, I had to learn the way education worked in the United States which was very different. My work and life experiences shaped my choice of expanding my education into a different field albeit later in life after our three children were off to school!
