Books, Subject Guides, and Free Resources 

Start with Architecture Library Subject Guides, for links to the Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals and more than 100 databases on a wide range of subjects. View site visits of contemporary buildings and listen to interviews of the building's architect OnArchitecture or go to Kanopy Streaming Films* for documentaries on a variety of topics including architecture, design, global studies, social justice, environmental science, and urbanization to name a few. 

JSTOR (eBooks and Journals) - Additional content has been added to JSTOR, including archived journal collections and primary resources. Searches performed using the databases page link will include results from the additional sources. Free access to the additional content ends August 30, 2020.

Drawing and Documents Archive Database - an overview of the archive's collection. 

Digital Media Repository - Access to digital architecture collections. For quick access to the collection, select the Subject tab, and then select Architecture.

Historic Bridges in Indiana - 120,000 original architectural drawings, landscape plans, blueprints, photographs, models and building remnants that document the history of Indiana’s sites and structures.

Ball State Archives and Special Collections Archives - This database will search for materials in the Archives and Special Collections repositories.

Internet Archives and National Emergency Library - A collection of books that support independent scholarship. The initial screen shows dated selections from 1925. Use the search box in the left column to find specific topics relative to architecture, construction management, interior design, landscape architecture, urban planning, and urban design. Those results will produce publications with a wide range of dates.
