Director of the College of Architecture and Planning Digital Engagement
Denise Jones has a bachelor of science in visual communications and marketing, and a master’s of science in adult and community education from Ball State University. Her experiences include visual merchandising, print publications, enterprise website development, interface design, authoring instructional tutorials for enterprise systems, and concept and content development for mobile applications for word origins and art history.
Prior to joining the College of Architecture and Planning, she was a member of the Office of Information Technology from its inception in 1998. Just before leaving the office, she explored the potential of coupling emerging technologies with specific academic subjects to demonstrate how the integration of visuals and the use of relational information can increase interest in the topic and impact the learning process.
Professional interests include: data visualization and relational information, information graphics, graphic design, and typography.
