As an undergraduate, Adam attended the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and chose to major in molecular and cellular biology. After receiving his undergraduate degree, he completed a Master of Public Health (MPH in Health Education and Health Promotion) in 2013 and joined a research lab at the University of Illinois as a graduate student focusing on cancer research in the department of Food Science & Human Nutrition. Adam always had a very strong focus throughout his undergraduate and graduate career on teaching and mentoring. Adam has previous experience teaching through the University of Illinois TRIO Upward Bound Program in which he was a high school summer instructor for molecular biology. He has also taught undergraduate classes at the University of Illinois including, Techniques in Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genetics, and Biochemical Nutrition. His previous academic history has shaped his decision to seek a position at Ball State where he could combine his commitment to teaching, his passion for education, and concern for undergraduate development.
