
Our bachelor’s degree in fashion merchandising prepares you for the exciting, fast-paced world of fashion merchandising. As a student, you will grasp the theory and practice behind the fashion industry, including the fundamentals of promotion and marketing, retail buying, apparel manufacturing, wholesaling, visual merchandising, fashion product analysis, and international apparel markets.
Major Requirements
As a fashion merchandising major, you will complete a unique curriculum that prepares your for a variety of challenging career paths within the fashion marketing industry. You must also complete a minor in entrepreneurial management or marketing.
Ball State's collection of over 4,000 pieces of men's and women's apparel dating back to the 18th century began in 1930 and continues today. The Beeman Collection provides students the opportunity to physically interact with historic and rare pieces. See photos.
