Alumni Distinguished Professor of Accounting
Mark Myring is the interim dean for the Miller College of Business (starting July 1), the associate dean for graduate programs and special initiatives, and the alumni distinguished professor of accounting. He joined the Ball State accounting faculty in 2000. He received a BSBA in accounting from John Carroll University in 1995, an MBA from Kent State University in 1999, and a PhD from Kent State University in 2000.
Myring's current research focuses on the use of accounting information and analysts' forecasts for security valuation in US and international capital markets and the accounting standard setting process in both the US and emerging economies.
His work has been published in academic accounting journals and presented at academic conferences. Myring teaches financial accounting at the undergraduate and graduate level. He is currently a member of the AAA, Beta Gamma Sigma, Beta Alpha Psi, and the IMA.
