Executive Director for Global Affairs
Dr. Laurie Cox is the Executive Director for Global affairs and has served as the Director of International Services in the Rinker Center for Global Affairs at Ball State for 5 years. She was the Assistant Dean and Director, International Student Services at the University of Wisconsin-Madison for 8 years. She was the Associate Director at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles where she worked for over 12 years. She has dedicated herself to the field of student services for over 30 years there and at Chaminade University-Honolulu, Bentley College in Waltham, MA, and Katharine Gibbs School in Boston. She completed her doctorate in Educational Leadership from the University of Southern California in 2006 focusing on re-entry education for international students. She has a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Massachusetss, Amherst, and a Master of Arts degree in History from Boston University. She has studied Russian, Japanese, French and Latin.
Her hobbies include international travel, snorkeling, and
visiting the Charles W. Brown Planetarium.
