Research Interests
Regulation of the adaptive responses of the human body to exercise and inactivity. Emphasis: Functional, structural, metabolic, and molecular changes in skeletal muscle, with a focus on understanding the role inflammatory processes play in the regulation of skeletal muscle adaptations to exercise, aging, and the microgravity environment of spaceflight.
