Empathy and Emotional Intelligence at Work

"Put yourself in his/her shoes." That's what we tell someone when we want them to see things from someone else's point of view. Empathy is the ability to communicate (send and receive messages) and lead by understanding others' thoughts, views, and feelings. By tuning into the needs of other people, we actually enhance our own emotional well-being. The same is true within organizations: those that foster trusting, cooperative relationships are more likely to have a more satisfied, engaged - and more productive and innovative - workforce with greater employee loyalty and retention.
Check back soon for our next workshop! Kayla Coates is EQ-i 2.0 certified and can help you with an assessment and coaching.
