About Kristen McCauliff

Kristen McCauliff received her Ph.D. in rhetoric from the University of Georgia, after graduating with a master’s in rhetoric from Wake Forest University. Dr. McCauliff’s research interests include: rhetorical criticism and theory, feminism, citizenship and media. Her articles have appeared in a number of journals including Communication Studies, Women & Language, and Rhetoric Society Quarterly. Her co-authored book entitled Listening to Women on the Right: Communication Strategies of Today’s Female Republican Politicians was published in 2017 with McFarland Press. She is currently working on a book manuscript about feminist friendship as a model for civic engagement. Dr. McCauliff teaches classes and advises graduate students in the areas of rhetorical theory and criticism and media analysis.
