Report an Incident or your Concern For A Student.
The Office of Student Rights and Community Standards is responsible for administering the Ball State Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities which references a number of policies (including but not limited to those linked to the left). The Office of the Associate Provost administers the policies on Grade Appeals and Academic Ethics.
The Code informs the community of the general behavioral expectations that the University has for all students. This document also outlines the procedures that the university will use to respond to complaints that these standards have been violated. A visualization of how we resolve complaints can be found here: Conduct Process.
Students are expected to read, understand, and adhere to these community standards. A printer-friendly (pdf) version of the Code can be found here Code of Student Rights and Responsibilities 2018-2019.
The Code is a living document and is reviewed regularly to ensure that it supports student success and a safe, effective education community.
Our office welcomes suggestions for change to the Code. If you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions for future revisions, please contact us.
