Fortunately Indiana is not subject to the hurricanes and earthquakes suffered by those living on the east and west coasts.  Indiana, however, has its share of weather related threats such as tornadoes, hail, and winter storms.  In past years the University has been damaged by severe winds and ice storms resulting in the loss of power to run and heat the University.

As a winter state we all know about the threats posed by the typical winter storms.  You should know what your risks are and how to prepare to protect yourself.  If you are not familiar with it, visit the Ready.Gov/Natural Disasters website to learn how to prepare for all kinds of severe weather threats.
