Dr. Youn Hong
Assistant Professor of Curriculum and Instruction
I have more than nine years of experience teaching both elementary and university students. In those roles, I have also worked in a variety of environments, including at elementary schools in Seoul, South Korea, and at the University of Minnesota in the United States.
My research interests include situating and challenging Western and Eurocentric perspectives in the context beyond the United States and other domestic borderlines. I have been developing my work on topics related to justice-oriented elementary education, teacher education, multicultural education, whiteness studies, teacher education, mathematics education, and qualitative research methodologies.
