Laura Golobish

Art History - Assistant Teaching Professor

Laura's research considers visual literacy and the relationships between debates regarding aesthetics, technology, and nation and the representation of Scotland in graphics and the periodical press from the United Kingdom, Continental Europe, and North America from the 1715 Jacobite Uprising to the COVID-19 Pandemic. As a scholar, they believe in using research to build community and increase access to art and Art Historical analyses. They plan to develop their dissertation into a monograph and collaborate with colleagues to develop exhibitions on the histories of graphic arts and design in a variety of venues and formats.
