Ball State University and the Miller College of Business seek a transformative, student-centered, and industry/community oriented academic leader to serve as its next Bryan Dean. This individual will have the opportunity to create a unified vision that leads the college and serve as a member of a high-performing academic leadership team as the University advances our strategic plan Destination 2040: Our Flight Path. In addition, the new dean will advance a decentralized, incentive-based budget model that aligns with the University’s commitment to the values symbolized by Beneficence.
WittKieffer consultant meets with leadership, the Search Committee and other key stakeholders to understand Ball State University culture in-person to create the ideal leadership profile.
WittKieffer submits draft position specifications and suggested recruitment strategies/advertisement, seeks input/approval from Ball State University.
Aggressive, active national recruiting; screening, and interviewing of candidates by WittKieffer.
WittKieffer prepares the Ball State University search committee for first round interviews and assists with the selection of finalist(s) for second round interviews. Educational verifications and references are conducted by WittKieffer.
Finalist interviews with a broad range of constituents on campus; candidate of choice identified from this round of interviews and negotiations commence. Finalist will meet with alumni group as part of their campus visit.
Once hiring authority decides to extend an offer, WittKieffer can advise and/or assist with negotiations.
Final candidate accepts offer; appointment announced; WittKieffer supports smooth transition.
