This position provides leadership and direction in the development and implementation of curricula, academic programs, outside resource development, and all activities of the Honors College and oversees the planning, directing, and coordinating of the operational, student, personnel, and budgetary activities of the College.
Provost meets with Search Committee and other key stakeholders to understand Ball State University culture to create the ideal leadership profile.
HR submits draft position specifications and suggested recruitment strategies/advertisement, seeks input/approval from Ball State University.
Aggressive, active national recruiting; and screening of candidates by Search Committee.
Ball State University search committee first round interviews and assists with selection of finalist(s) for second round interviews; educational verifications and reference checks.
Finalist interviews with a broad range of constituents on campus; candidate of choice identified from this round of interviews and negotiations commence.
Once hiring authority decides to extend an offer, HR can advise and/or assist with negotiations.
Final candidate accepts offer; appointment announced; HR supports smooth transition.
