Health Professions Building at Ball State University

Reporting to the provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs, the dean serves as the chief academic and administrative officer of the College of Health and is responsible for the development, modification, and administration of academic programs; financial resources; and personnel necessary to advance the goals of the college.

The next dean will advance the mission and strategic plan of the College of Health, providing transformational leadership of Ball State’s newest college while serving as an academic colleague to some of the most renowned scholars at the University and in their respective fields.

Search Committee


WittKieffer consultant meets with leadership, the Search Committee, and other key stakeholders to get key information for the creation of the leadership profile.

Draft leadership profile and advertisement.

Aggressive, active national recruiting; screening, and interviewing of candidates by WittKieffer.

WittKieffer meets with Ball State University search committee to review candidates and identify semi-finalists for interviews.

WittKieffer prepares Ball State University search committee for first round interviews and assists with selection of finalist(s) for second round interviews.

Finalist interviews with a broad range of constituents on campus; educational verifications and references conducted by WittKieffer; candidate of choice identified from this round of interviews and negotiations commence.

Once hiring authority decides to extend an offer, WittKieffer can advise and/or assist with negotiations.
