President of Ball State Foundation and Vice President for University Advancement
Jake Logan became president of the Ball State University Foundation and vice president for University Advancement in 2019.
The Foundation is the University’s all-inclusive philanthropic and engagement partner. In his role, Jake leads the Foundation’s efforts to support the continuing growth of Ball State University by promoting and facilitating philanthropy, alumni engagement, service, volunteer leadership, and exemplary fiduciary management.
Before his arrival at Ball State, Jake was assistant vice chancellor at the University of Missouri, where he had served since 2016. For more than 10 years, he had been part of comprehensive capital campaigns exceeding $1 billion at three large, public institutions — the University of Florida, the University of Oregon, and the University of Missouri.
Jake will build on Ball State’s momentum. With the implementation of the new strategic plan, Destination 2040: Our Flight Path, he will play a key role in the strategic imperative to create a campus culture of philanthropy and generate more philanthropic support for the University.
Jake earned his baccalaureate in public relations from the University of Florida and his master’s in nonprofit management from the University of Oregon.
