The Summit

The Teaching and Technology Summit showcases innovative work in teaching and its intersections with technology. Connect with colleagues and share creative ways to use technology to enhance teaching and learning.

The engaging and informal sessions at the Summit range from quick hits (5 minutes) to deeper dives (20 minutes), meaning you can fit them into your schedule, whichever works best for you.

To encourage risk-taking, community-building, and question-asking, we will NOT be recording any Summit sessions. If you register, you will have access to all Summit materials in a Canvas resource, including presenter handouts and supplemental materials.

Present at the Summit

We invite you to share your teaching practices at the Summit, particularly as they relate to learning technologies. Sessions are generally informal. You may submit a proposal for a session of 5 minutes, 10 minutes, or 20 minutes.

Submit a Proposal

Deadline: Friday, February 10, 5 p.m. The planning committee will review proposals and notify you of the status of your proposal by Friday, February 24.

NEW: Enter the Digital Showcase

A new addition to the Summit, the Digital Showcase will collect inspiring and inventive teaching artifacts, including (but not limited to): course modules, syllabi, assignments, videos, infographics, e-posters, discussion boards, and memes.

We invite you to share your work in the Showcase.

Here’s what last year’s attendees loved about the Teaching and Technology Summit

I thought it was extremely well organized and I loved how engaging the presenters were. They all did an amazing job with this offering!
Truly, a terrific summit.
It was easy for me to drop into the sessions I was interested in around my teaching schedule.
The entire event was incredibly well managed, promoted, and executed. It was abundantly clear the experience of attendees was at the centre of all choices that the organizers made for this event. This was a perfect example of experience design in practice.

This event is coordinated by the Division of Online and Strategic Learning. Our mission is to serve Ball State students, faculty and staff by pursuing, developing, and implementing best practices in teaching, learning, and student support services. We do this through an adaptive culture of rigorous assessment and evaluation of techniques and approaches that benefit Ball State students both near and far.
