Get help you need concerning withdrawals including information on refunds and dates, total withdrawals, individual withdrawals, late withdrawals, and more.

Online students are subject to the same withdrawal deadlines and refund schedules that main-campus students abide by.

If your main-campus student wishes to complete a total withdrawal (all classes on their schedule)

and their schedule is blended (mixture of online and main campus classes), they must complete a withdrawal form with the Office of Retention and Graduation, located in the Student Center room L20.

If that student’s schedule is online or off-campus classes only, they need to complete an online total withdrawal request form.

Our office makes every attempt to process these requests manually within 24-48 business hours of receiving. The student will receive notification, via their Ball State email account, once it has been processed.

If your student wishes to complete an individual course withdrawal and their schedule is blended (mixture of online and main campus classes) or either online or off-campus only, they can withdraw from the course via Self-Service Banner.
If your student wishes to complete an individual or total withdrawal after the automatic withdrawal period, please refer them to Amy Hurt. We will only consider these requests with documented extenuating circumstance.
