Gail L Werner

Executive Writer

Gail's passion for and curiosity about Ball State have served her well as a content strategist working with various campus partners, including the College of Fine Arts, the Honors College, and international programs. Some of her favorite stories to write are those about our bright students as well as exemplary entrepreneurial projects such as the musical "The Circus in Winter," plus an interactive exhibit celebrating Hoosier author Kurt Vonnegut, and a traveling civil rights museum.

After graduating from Ball State, Gail spent about five years working as a reporter for The Star Press before joining the division in 2008. Her other roles include overseeing the Communications Center as well as the university's Facebook page. Gail also supervises student writers on the division’s staff, staying in touch after they embark on their own communications careers.

When the workday is over, you can find her writing fiction, reading, practicing yoga, or making dinner with her son by her side.
