We recognize that the COVID-19 pandemic has created concerns in many areas of Ball State University operations, including the safety of those students who will be moving into residence halls.
We know how important the residential experience is to our students and their ultimate college success. Ball State remains committed to doing everything we can to provide an excellent housing experience during these challenging times. We also acknowledge the uncertainty our students may be feeling as a result of the extraordinary public health crisis facing our country.
The following plan details the measures the University has taken to welcome our students to residence halls. We are providing increased flexibility in our living options and have taken steps to accommodate any student that does test positive for the COVID-19 virus.
The plan was created, and is aligned with, guidance from government agencies, public health officials, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
