The first steps are in place to welcome back our Ball State Cardinals student-athletes to the practice fields. Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, several winter and spring sports were not able to complete their seasons. And with protocols now in place to resume practices, Cardinal Nation is looking forward to the start of fall sports in late August.
Ball State’s policies and plans to bring our student-athletes back to campus for practices are aligned with the latest guidance from government agencies, public health officials, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). This pandemic presents a constantly evolving and dynamic situation, and the University’s policies and plans are continually monitored and updated.
The plan includes detailed protocols and information on:
- Implementation Phases
- Preparticipation Medical Assessments
- Athletic Training Room (ATR) Protocols
- Daily Screening Requirements
- Athletic Facilities
- Laundry Protocols
- Meals and Beverages
- Mental Health
- The Cardinals Care Pledge
