Residence hall matters should be discussed with the hall director assigned to your conference or camp group.

Every effort is made to ensure that your stay in Ball State University's residence halls is pleasant and safe. The following information is provided for your convenience.

Room
Conference and camp guests may live in rooms within the university's residence halls during summer events on campus. A bed, dressers, and chairs are provided in each room. Bed linens are available at a nominal cost if the conference or camp chooses to make such arrangements. Custodial and maintenance staff is available on specific days and times should rooms need attention. (Please be aware that many residence hall maintenance repairs and renovations are completed during the summer. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.)

Telephones
All guest rooms are equipped with active telephone jacks. Guests may bring their own phones to use in individual rooms if they wish or use cellphones.

Decorations/Posters/Signs
Ball State conference directors must approve signs and decorations before posting. To prevent damage, please do not use nails, tacks, hooks, etc., on furniture, painted walls, ceilings, windows, or doors.

Vending Machines
Machines selling soft drinks, chips, candy, and other snacks are located in each residence hall for your convenience.

Information
Residence hall desks open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Change, postage stamps, mail drop-off, and general information are available for conference and camp guests.

Safety/Security
Guests are strongly encouraged to lock the door to their rooms to protect their privacy and valuables, even when they are inside the rooms. Room keys and access cards are university property and the responsibility of guests. Please carry keys and access cards at all times; the outside doors are locked 24 hours a day.

Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted in any area of the residence halls. Exceptions can be made for adult groups in advance through the Office of Housing and Residence Life.

Smoking
Ball State is a smoke-free campus, creating a healthier environment for living, learning, and working. Smoking is prohibited in all university buildings and outdoor campus areas except designated locations.
