Community Readiness Initiative (CRI)
low-cost, high-impact evaluation process is designed to assist communities of any size in planning for positive,
productive growth. The five-step
process provides an objective, data-driven analysis of a community’s strengths,
economic standing, alignment among leadership, and readiness for change. This program is the vision of Indiana's Office of Community and Rural Affairs (OCRA).
Hometown Collaboration Initiative (HCI)
for communities with populations of 25,000 or less,
this three-phased program focuses on expanding local leadership, building on
economic assets, and improving attractiveness and quality of life through
placemaking strategies. HCI was designed by Ball State University and Purdue
University in partnership with Office of Lieutenant Governor and the
Office of Community and Rural Affairs.

Indiana Toll Road Economic Development Corridor Initiative
A Ball State study team evaluated the efficacy of multiple and varied
strategies for potential implementation in the seven northernmost counties of
Indiana, collectively named the Indiana Toll Road Corridor.
