2018-19 Back to School Information

Registration is scheduled on Wednesday, August 1st from  8:00am - 6:00pm and Thursday, August 2nd from 7:30am - 4:00pm in the Burris Gymnasium.  Please plan to register your child(ren) during one of these times.  You may park in lot G10 or H6 for your convenience.

Notice: Please remember if you qualified last year for free or reduced lunches you must re-apply for this upcoming school year unless you received a letter directly certifying your student.

2018-19 Lottery

  • The 2018-19 Burris Lottery was held on March 15th.  Parents if you were unable to attend the lottery all results will be communicated next week.  Due to confidentiality, please do not contact the office Friday for results.  All result correspondence will be sent out at the beginning of next week.  

  • The deadline for submitting an application for the 2018-19 school year has passed.  Applications are no longer being accepted.  Thank you for your interest in Burris.  We would like to encourage you to apply next year for the 2019-2020 school year.   Applications will be available online September 1, 2018.

  • High ability testing will take place in February of 2018.  Parents will be notified in March the results of the high ability testing.
  • Burris Laboratory School is unique in many ways, providing valuable teaching and learning experiences for Ball State Teachers College students, while steadfastly guiding each     K-12 learner toward realization of his or her full potential.
