We offer several opportunities for you to be involved in chemistry outside of the classroom.

You can participate in research during the academic year and our Chemistry Research Immersion Summer Program (CRISP), a model for universities. During the summer, our students get the opportunity to work with us on one of our research projects. After you've finished your research, you'll have the opportunity to present your findings to a group of your peers. Best of all, you can start your freshman year.

Many of our students also join the Student Affiliates of the American Chemical Society (SAACS). As a member of SAACS, you will do community service projects, hear great speakers, and make new friends.
