Intellectual Wellness

Intellectual wellness involves ongoing education. This includes;

  • Attending seminars and workshops
  • Reading
  • Expanding your awareness of the world around you

Learning new things such as an exercise routine or a new recipe can also be intellectually stimulating. Discussing new ideas with people from unique and different backgrounds helps us advance in all aspects of life.

This website is a forum for people to share, publish, or read articles.  There are a lot of articles with tips, information, or learning strategies in the corporate setting, such as: The Benefits of Reading, 10 Ways to Relax During Your Busy Day, How To Make Your Business Card Call for Action, and Surviving Office Politics.  They also link to other business sites, such as small business resources and internet marketing.

 

This article is a ready-to-print resource that explores the effects of learning on the brain.  It explains myths and truths of how aging affects the brain, and strategies of engaging and stimulating your brain at all ages.

 

New Horizons is an excellent resource for lifelong learning.  It breaks up lifelong learning into different stages, the fourth stage being Learning in the Workplace, which links out to related articles.  It also links to other relevant sites.

 

The Clearinghouse on Adult, Career, and Vocational Education (ACVE) published an article called “Balancing Act of Adult Life.”  The article introduces many of the aspects of life adults have to balance, and talks about the skills needed to cope with such high demands.  The home page has an excellent archive of information in this area.

 

Muncie on the Web has all the exciting happenings of this area.  Services, government, information, calendars, educational resources, and associations are all available on this site.  It’s an excellent way to get involved and stay up-to-date with the community.

 

Seminars are excellent resources for continuous learning.  On this website, searches are available for seminars based on category, city, state, hotel, popularity, or newness.

 

This site sponsors team building workshops based on the MBTI (Myers Briggs Type Indicator) personality test.  These workshops will help teams improve communication, reduce conflict, strengthen management effectiveness, decrease stress, and promote better relationships.
