Emotional wellness can be defined as an awareness and acceptance of a wide range of feelings in one's self and others. An emotionally well person;

  • Understands personal limitations
  • Knows how to seek support and assistance
  • Knows how to effectively deal with stress
  • Has the ability to form satisfying relationships with others

The American Psychological Association (APA) is the largest scientific and professional organization representing psychology in the United States. The APA Help Center contains statistics on stress in the workplace, as well as information on other aspects of emotional wellness. Topics include knowing when and how to get help with stress as well as specific coping mechanisms. Several disorders and diseases that may result from stress are also listed and discussed.
