SPAIN
LMK 01 - 10 - 2010

We have been on the tour since the 5th now making us slightly experienced in the ways of traveling. This time period has also shown us some significant and unique differences between home and the areas that we are visiting.

To the right is a sketch focusing on maintaining proportion of a drawing. Working from the ground up, the goal was to make sure that the entire planned image eventually fit within the paper as invisioned. This is the main tower from the Plaza de Espana in Sevilla. A neat fact is that parts of Lawrence of Arabia were filmed here.

The alleys that we have been using in order to weave about through both Cordoba and Sevilla have really caught my attention. These cities were developed before set-backs and similar laws shaped the United States. I really like how the wall flower pots, hanging plants, and arches keep the scale of the street to that of the pedestrians.
