2011-12 WIPB-TV Ball State University Student Grant Initiative
WIPB offers grants of $5,000-$10,000 to Ball State University student teams to support the creation of original local video for Broadcast (television show or promotional videos) and Online/ Interactive content. To apply for a grant, students will be asked to describe in writing (500 words or less) how their team would collaborate with other students to develop their local content video project.
Through the initiative, WIPB will utilize the student-initiated team concept to explore new ways to create local content that will enhance and increase awareness of WIPB in central Indiana through the use of emerging technologies.
The primary objective is to expand the marketing, promotion, and financial opportunities of WIPB and Ball State University in central Indiana, adding focus into the areas of Hamilton and Marion counties, including but not limited to Indianapolis, Carmel, and Zionsville, while continuing to maintain a strong presence within the central Indiana and western Ohio counties.
