Serving our Community

WIPB-TV
hosted a facilitated PRAYER IN AMERICA workshop on November 9,
2007 using the outreach themes of "Prayer and Social Justice" and "Prayer
and the Constitution" for clergy and lay leaders. WIPB will follow
up this activity with stipend-supported activities, student-developed
video segments on interfaith issues in conjunction with PRAYER IN AMERICA.
As part of the workshop, WIPB included Jacquie Gomez, a drummer who
recited a Native American prayer, and a group of Hindu women who performed
a sacred dance.

Jim Moore, author of Prayer in America was also in attendance
to discuss the origin of the American Prayer project. To learn
