The foundation of outreach created through By the People will now become the platform for WIPB’s healthcare issues initiative: Living and Aging Well within the Global Community. Funded by the National Center for Outreach, this campaign includes all By The People activities, plus additional programming and interstitials.

Parenting Counts – Visit associated web site

Parenting Counts: A Focus on Early Learning, co-developed by Talaris and KCTS Seattle/Television brings the research on best parenting practices into parent's daily lives through a series of television spots and workshops. The goals of the program are:

  • Stimulate greater awareness of early learning (birth to five years)
  • Promote more effective parenting and caregivers techniques
  • Enhance parent-child relationships

Teletubbies Get Up and Go! – Visit associated web site

May 17, 2006, was the sixth annual Get Up and Go! Teletubbies day of Exercise, an initiative intended to create awareness among parents and caregivers of the need for physical activity for young children.
