She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in German and International Studies from Wayne State University where she worked as a German to English translator, Recreation Center Marketing Intern, Swim Instructor and Lifeguard. Bethany is pursing a Master's degree in Applied Gerontology with a minor in Wellness. She has served as a graduate assistant in the Fisher Institute of Wellness and Gerontology on the Learning Well Resources Team and currently is working at the Community Center for Vital Aging in Marketing. She also works at Westminster Village, a multi-tiered living facility for older adults. in their Fitness Facility. Bethany plans to become a certified Wellness Coach and would like to work in a healthy fitness oriented atmosphere with older adults after graduating in May 2009. In her free time, Bethany enjoys reading, cooking, being in and on the water, exercising and traveling. |
