About the Authors

Reza Ahmadi and Kay Hodson Carlton are Co-Project Directors for the WellCome Home Project and Professors at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana.

Mr. Reza Ahmadi is Associate Professor of Design at Ball State University. He holds an MA in Interior Design from Florida State University and Master of Architecture from Kansas State University. Mr. Ahmadi has been teaching in architecture and interior design disciplines in Louisiana, Kansas, Missouri, California and Indiana for over 20 years. His research interest is "elderly environment". In the past 8 years, Reza has authored numerous articles related to aging and the corresponding built environment.

Dr. Kay Hodson Carlton is Professor of Nursing and Coordinator of Learning Resources and Distance Education for the School of Nursing. Dr Hodson Carlton is a registered nurse with experience in medical surgical nursing. She holds a Masters Degree in Nursing and Library Science and a Doctoral Degree in Instructional Systems Technology. Kay's interest is in the design, development and implementation of instructional materials. Dr. Hodson Carlton's most recent research and publications relate to partnerships in healthcare through telecommunications including web-based instruction.
