My name is Tim Edsell. I am a 1993 graduate of Cedarville University in Cedarville, Ohio. I obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mathematics Education. My first teaching job was at Dade Christian School in Miami, Florida. I taught Geometry and Algebra I at the high school level. In 1994, I married a Hoosier native and accepted a teaching job at Northwestern Middle School in Kokomo, Indiana. For three years, I taught mathematics at the seventh grade level. In 1997, I accepted a teaching position at Jay County High School inPortland, Indiana. For two years, I taught a variety of math courses, ranging from Pre-Alegbra to Pre-Calculus. In an effort to move closer to my wife's family, I accepted a teaching position at Northeastern Junior-Senior High School in Fountain, City. Last year, I taught eighth grade math, Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and Calculus. In seven years of education, I have taught every mathematics course from seventh through twelfth grade. During this same amount of time, I have been a varsity assistant coach in football and baseball.
I am currently the Administrative Assistant at Northeastern Junior-Senior High School. My major responsibilities are discipline, attendance, supervision, teacher evaluation, Renaissance Coordinator, fund-raiser coordinator, student assistance team member, and any other duties assigned by the principal. I want to provide a positive school climate for students to achieve success in the classroom and in the extra-curricular arena. Also, I am a graduate student at Ball State University in Muncie, Indiana. I am seeking to obtain my Master's degree in Educational Administration and my secondary principal's license.
