Principle #9: The teacher is a reflective practitioner who continually evaluates the effects of his/her choices and actions on others (students, parents, and other professionals in the learning community) and who actively seeks out opportunities to grow professionally.

A good teacher has to be a good role model.  They have to be someone that the students can turn to, in and out of the classroom.  They have to care about the students’ education and have patience.  A teacher needs to be able cater to their students needs and be able to communicate with them.  It is also important that a teacher be a good listener.
