This is a great reference if you want to find the best selling children’s books.  It also has a parent resource section that will take you to other literature sites such as stories on the web and lists of recommended books for children.

This a great site to learn more about your child’s favorite author or illustrator.  They are listed alphabetically and a simple click of the mouse will take you directly to their web page.

What’s your favorite subject?  This site has something for everyone.  You can find out about sharks, dinosaurs, volcanoes, nursery rhymes, and much more. 

Bookmuse

This site has books divided by reading levels and genres.  Choose a book, click on it, and you will see a synopsis of the story.  Then you will see a list of things to think about and discuss as your child reads the story. 

Publish a Story

Do you want to become a published author?  You can publish your story or poem on this site and read others published by children of all ages.

ALSC

Parents, this is the site that has it all. The Association 

for Library Service to Children has a list of the 

Newbery and Caldecot medal books, a list of over 700 sites for children and many ideas on how to promote literacy with your children. 

PBS Kids

This is a GREAT site if you like Clifford and Arthur!!! You can listen to or read a story about these characters, play games, color pages or listen to music.  There’s something for everyone.
