2. Rigorously researched

3. Easily readable and understandable by industry practitioners, academics and students

The quality, clarity and accessibility of the writing cannot be overemphasized. Suggested research paper length: 2000-4000 words, including tables, charts, etc. Idea/opinion pieces should be under 1500 words. Submit manuscripts online to: catuggle@unc.edu

Review:

This is a joint academic-industry project. Blind review is done in pairs, one each from the academy and industry. If both approve ... Those submitting the article will be notified, and the paper will be published in the next available issue. If both disapprove, those submitting the article will be notified that the paper has been rejected. Reviewer comments (without reviewer identification) will be sent to the author(s).

If the reviewers want changes, those comments will be forwarded to the author(s) who will have reasonable time to make changes and re-submit the paper. The editor may judge whether the requested changes have been made acceptably.

If the reviewers disagree ... the paper will be sent to an additional reviewer from either the academy or industry, depending on which reviewer rejected the submission. If the second review is positive (or changes are requested), then the article will be accepted (pending changes, if applicable). If the article is again rejected, then the article will be rejected. Reviewer comments (without reviewer identification) will be sent to the author(s).
