Are you ready to rumble? World Wrestling Federation Entertainment (WWFE) has all the action you need. The company produces and promotes wrestling matches for TV, pay-per-view, and live audiences. While Stars such as "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, The Rock, and Trish Status lead its flagship programs WWF Raw (broadcast on TNN) and WWF Smackdown! (broadcast on UPN) to consistently high ratings. They also produces 12 pay-per-view programs. But their have been some problems in 2001. The were humbled by the disaster of the now-defunct XFL, its attempt at a new football league with NBC. Chairman Vince McMahon controls 96% of the company, which has purchased rival World Championship Wrestling from Turner Broadcasting. The WWFE is a integrated media and entertainment company mainly engaged in the development, production and marketing of television programming, pay-per-views and live events. They also produce the licensing and sale of branded products featuring their highly successful World Wrestling Federation brand. The WWFE operations have been organized around two principal activities. Which is the creation, marketing and distribution of their live and televised entertainment and pay-per-view events. Most of the revenues are derived principally from ticket sales to the WWF events, purchases of the pay-per-views, the sale of television advertising time and the receipt of television rights fees. The other principal activity would be the marketing and promotion of WWF branded merchandise. Revenues are generated from both royalties from the sale of merchandise by third-party licensees and the direct sale by the WWFE of merchandise, magazines and home videos. The WWFE operations include their wholly-owned subsidiaries and their majority owned subsidiary. The fully owned subsidiaries are World Wrestling Federation Entertainment Canada, Stephanie Music Publishing Inc., TSI Realty Company, Event Services, Inc., WWF New York Inc., WWF Hotel and Casino Ventures LLC., WWFE Sports, Inc., WCW, Inc. and The WWFE majority owned subsidiary, Titan/Shane Partnership. WWFE Sports, Inc. owns 50% and has operating control of XFL, LLC., which was a venture established with NBC.
