Experience a conference as an undergraduate

One of the best ways to discover more about student affairs administration and determine if it may be the right career for you is to attend a conference. The number of opportunities for undergraduates to attend conference is increasing. Below you will find links to some national conferences you may want to attend. Also pay attention to local conferences as there are institutions which hold conferences like Student Affairs 101 where you can learn more about the field. To make the most of your experience, discuss the conference with a professional you know. They may even be able to help you with the financial commitment you may have to make to attend the conference.

ACPA: The Next Generation- The conference is held a few days before the professional ACPA convention. The purpose of the conference is for undergraduates to meet some  well respected professionals in the field who can help them better understand the profession. You can also meet some other people like you which could lead to great professional connections in the future.

ACUHO-I STARS Program- This new program is an initiative by ACUHO-I to encourage undergraduates to enter the field of student affairs and housing specifically. The conference will take place a few days before the ACUHO-I annual conference.
