Advice on submissions
For our first issue the staff sifted through
hundreds of manuscripts; most were a waste of postage for the author.
By the end of our search for quality articles, we all felt that many
writers figured they could send their polished, best work to other places,
and we would accept their unfinished, unpolished, unrevised stories
straight from the workshop. They were wrong.
So send us work with passion, and works that
are well written. If you wouldn't send it to the Paris Review or Atlantic
Monthly because it's not done yet, don't send it to us. |
