Problem Based Learning Solution Criteria Checklist
The learner determines learning goals. The learner recognizes the gaps between what is known and what could/should be known to solve the problem. The learner hypothesizes about the solution to the problem. The learner seeks additional information from the available resources to clarify and define the problem to determine possible routes to find the solution. The learner sets learning goals based upon his/her own findings. The learner collects information and data, performs experiments, and further divides the problem into possible routes to find the solution. The learner generates solutions and decides on a course of action, based on the sharing of the collected information. The learner presents and supports a solution, which is evaluated according to criteria that are learner-based and benchmarked against alternative solutions. The learner reflects on the content learned and the problem-solving strategies used. The learner sets goals for further learning and improvements in applying the problem-solving process.
